Amanda Huenefeld

Animal Health Technician

Amanda began working at AFB International’s Palatability Assessment Resource Center (PARC) in 2010 as an Animal Care Technician, helping to care for the Center’s 200 dogs and cats. A few years later, she completed her degree in Veterinary Technology with San Juan College and transitioned to Animal Health Technician – working with PARC’s veterinarians to support the health and wellbeing of resident animals. She also has been involved in larger projects at PARC, such as the Safety Team co-chair and helping to implement facility and technology upgrades.

At home, Amanda has two mixed breed dogs, Dexter and Neka, and enjoys taking them on walks and to the river, as well as watching them make friends with nearby cattle. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hunting, fishing and time on the river with friends and family.
