At AFB, we’re on a global mission to help pet food companies produce the highest performing, most desirable products that they can. So, of course we were going to attend the first annual Foro Andino pet food forum in Bogotá, Colombia, this past November.
The Foro Andino pet food forum gathered pet food professionals from the Andean region to share in the latest trends and information in pet food sales, nutrition, ingredients, production, regulation and process. The Andean market is growing rapidly, so this was a fantastic opportunity for AFB to foster new and existing relationships by sharing the latest pet food palatant insights and information.
Between 300 and 400 attendees participated in an intensive two days of seminars, presentations, exhibits and Q&As. I’m extremely proud of our team and the personal connections created and strengthened during the show. Team members included myself, Brazil Country Manager Marcelo Beraldo da Costa and Latin America Technical Manager Cesar Fernandez Garrasino.
Cesar gave an incredibly insightful presentation that covered the application of different flavors to different types of products, the relationship of different ingredients and product palatability, the correlation between production methods and palatability, and different methods and equipment for palatability application. Cesar’s presentation was very well received, and afterward we had many people visit our exhibit to learn even more about his material and how AFB can assist our customers. If you are interested in receiving this presentation, please email your request to Cesar Garrasino at firstname.lastname@example.org
The first-ever Foro Andino was a great success, and we were very pleased with all of the relationships we were able to grow. We spent more time with existing clients and discussed new projects, and we met many new prospective clients and expanded our network. We are already looking forward to attending next year, and we are excited to see how our new connections, our clients and our industry will prosper over the next 12 months.
