Stacey joined AFB International’s Palatability Assessment Resource Center (PARC), located near St. Louis, Missouri, USA, in 2008, shortly after completing her bachelor’s degree in animal science at the University of Missouri. Animal welfare is paramount in everything AFB does—a perfect fit for animal advocate Stacey, who became PARC research supervisor in 2013.
In this key role, Stacey oversees the animal care staff and all palatability trials, ensuring both data integrity and a healthy experience for the animals. Stacey says what she enjoys most about her job is getting to be with the animals every day and the team atmosphere at AFB. “We have fun while getting quality work done,” says Stacey.
At home, Stacey is pet parent to two adopted dogs, pit bull Gus and boxer mix Daphne. A favorite hobby for her and her dogs is running and swimming at a nearby lake. Stacey also rescues vintage furniture, which she restores in her spare time.
