Courtney Loveless

Pilot Plant Supervisor

As the Pilot Plant Supervisor at AFB International’s Lovejoy Resource Center in St. Charles, Mo., Courtney and her team are responsible for working closely with customers to define objectives, design experiments and execute successful production runs. Courtney earned a degree in chemical engineering with minors in mathematics and chemistry from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now known as the Missouri University of Science and Technology). Following positions in the aerospace, ammunition and agricultural industries, Courtney joined AFB in early 2011.

In her AFB role, Courtney collaborates with customers to help develop the next generation of innovative pet foods and flavors. She enjoys working in the pet food industry because it’s a close-knit community of professionals who thrive on creativity. Customers who work with Courtney quickly learn that her creativity extends beyond the lab; she’s also an artist and lead female vocalist for St. Louis Big Band, a 17-piece group that performs throughout the U.S. Midwest.
